August flew by at our communities and we are ready to begin September.  We have a busy month of activities planned.

It is hard to believe that August is already here!  We have a fantastic calendar of events and activities planned for August.  We are continuing our journey of studying and discussing places around the world.  It is amazing how many places the residents have visited or lived throughout their lives.

The Alzheimer's Association 2010 Austin Memory Walk is October 16.

We invite you to join the Arveda Alzheimer's Family Care Memory Walk team and walk 3 miles with us.

We have a busy month in June.  We will be discussing Egypt, Kentucky, Wyoming, and Africa this month. It is so much fun to discuss the travels the residents have participated in throughout thier lives.  We learn about cultures, foods, and lifestyles from the resident's travels.

In April we will be taking a trip to Brazil, Argentina, Bahamas, and the Carribean!  We will explore the foods, music, and cultures of these areas.  We are sure to have a good time!

For the month of March we will be studying Ireland and England.  The residents will share and gain knowledge of the cultures and traditions of these two countries as we take a tour through travelogue to see the castles and customs as well as hear the music of the Irish and even attend a horse race within our own community.
