About Us

Arveda's name is a combination of the Latin (arbor vitae) and the Spanish (vida) interpretations of 'Tree of Life'.

The first two Arveda facilities are under construction in Buda and Austin, Texas. Although the Arveda facilities are brand new, the management staff have a combined total of over 30 years of experience providing personal care to senior citizens, with many of those years solely focusing on Alzheimer's care.

The Arveda Alzheimer's facilities were designed with some of the newest technology available in the marketplace to meet the specific needs of people diagnosed with Alzheimer's or a related dementia, such as vascular dementia, Lewy Body dementia, Pick's disease, or Parkinson's-related dementia. We truly feel that the Arveda facilities will be an industry leader in Alzheimer's care.

The Arveda general Assisted Living Residences have been designed to help the seniors residing there to move easily around the facility and to locate the familiar gathering spots of the home, such as the living rooms, the kitchen and dining areas, and the outdoor gardening areas.

The Arveda philosophy of care is to treat each resident as an individual, to treat him or her with dignity, love, and respect. We have designed a service plan that is responsive to each resident's needs, taking into account their likes, dislikes, and preferences about the care they receive.

The families of the residents are welcomed and strongly encouraged to take an active role in the development of the service plan. We fully understand that the families know their loved ones best.

Furthermore, we understand that if a resident resides in our Specialized Alzheimer's communities, that does not mean they should not be given every opportunity to have a voice about their own care. Nor does it mean that the resident will necessarily need everything done for them. Our staff will coach, guide, and use demonstration with the residents to help them remain as active and independent as possible for as long as possible. Our goal is not to over- or under-care for the residents; rather, we hope to find the blend of services that best meets their needs.
