At Arveda, assisted living is a combination of services that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each resident, such as medication reminders, personalized assistance with daily living activities, and meal preparation.  We believe that assisted living means finding the best balance of services the resident may need.  We focus on maintaining the residents' strengths. The staff will assist with any activity the resident needs, but they will also encourage independence.  The residents of the Assisted Living communities enjoy a wide array of activities, both at the community and at local arts and entertainment centers. The residents have their own private living apartments, and they bring their own furnishings and belongings to create their own comfortable home.  Although the level of care in Assisted Living is higher and the residents may need more staff assistance, the focus of Arveda Care remains the same: resident choice comes first, dignified and loving care is an absolute, and we will always be respectful of the residents choices.

The Arveda Alzheimer's communities have been specifically designed to meet the needs of the residents, from the layout of the home, to the design of the bedrooms, to the selection of the decor. The management and design team have many years of experience providing the specialized care that Alzheimer's residents require.  That being said, the quality of care is dependent upon the facility staff and their ability to care for the special needs of the residents, especially from a psychological standpoint.  The facility staff receive intensive training on Alzheimer's disease and the way it affects the residents' language ability, vision, behavior, and ability to take care of themselves. Our specialized staff members are selected not only for their technical skills and knowledge of how to provide personal care, but also for their ability to communicate well.  We ensure the residents are treated respectfully, and provided choices about their daily routine.

Respite Care is available at all of our facilities.  Respite care is designed to allow the primary caregiver the opportunity to get some much-needed rest, or to arrange alternate care for a short time when they cannot be with their loved one. While staying in respite care, the resident receives all the same services as if they were a long-term resident: meals, housekeeping, assistance with daily tasks, activities, medication supervision, and a personalized service plan. The daily rate is set by each community.
